What exactly does the Gladiator come with? Read on to find out all about it!
A Quick Overview
The Jeep Gladiator is a relatively new vehicle on the market, considering it was first introduced in late 2018 and went on sale in spring of 2019. This midsized truck seats 5 comfortably and there’s plenty of headroom and legroom for everyone, even for those who are on the taller side. You’ll also get plenty of cargo space since this truck has a 5-foot bed with low bed rails. In addition, it has an impressive payload rating that ranges from 1,075 to 1,700 pounds. New for 2021 is the turbodiesel engine, which is capable of 260 HP and 442 lb-ft of torque.
The Available Trims
What’s fantastic about the new 2021 Jeep Gladiator is that it comes with 6 trims! You can choose from the Sport, Sport S, Overland, Rubicon, Mojave, and High Altitude trims. There are also special edition limited trims if you want to be flashier on the road. They are the Willys Sport, Willys, and 80th Anniversary trims, which come with unique looks and designs. All come standard with a V6 engine and 4-wheel drive, although you can always upgrade to the new turbodiesel V6 engine (excluding the Mojave trim). Here’s a little more on four main trims!
The standard trim in itself is already pretty impressive! You’ll enjoy manually adjustable front seats, fog lights, halogen headlights, black fender flares, black soft top, skid plates, bed tie-down cleats, tow hooks, 2-speed transfer case, solid front and rear axles, and a Class II tow hitch receiver. Also included are 17-inch steel wheels with all-season tires! The infotainment system comes with a 5-inch touchscreen, 2 USB ports, satellite radio, Bluetooth, and 8 speakers. As you can see, the Sport trim is already quite the beast for off-roading. But if you want even more, you can choose to upgrade to things like a hardtop, leather upholstery, rock sliders, a limited-slip rear differential, a Class IV tow hitch receiver, and more.
- Off-roading essentials: skid plates, tow hooks, and a 2-speed transfer case are just a few examples of how this truck will handle adventures smoothly
- An impressive sound system: find all your favorite songs through clear satellite road and blast them on the 8 huge speakers
Sport S Trim
Here’s another trim that builds on the base trim, but it piles on even more wonderful features for you and your passengers to enjoy. Standard features here include remote keyless entry, power windows and door locks, heated side mirrors, and automatic climate control. You’ll also get 17-inch alloy wheels and body-color fenders. For the infotainment system, you’ll be upgraded to a 7-inch touchscreen, which has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
- Remote keyless entry: never worry about dropping your bags and items again with this convenient feature
- An easy-to-use infotainment system: the generous 7-inch touchscreen in combination with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay will have you playing tunes easily and safely
The Overland trim takes the Sport S option and builds on it. So, you’ll still get17-inch alloy wheels, body-color fenders, power windows and door locks, heated side mirrors, remote keyless entry, automatic climate control. In addition, you’ll still have a generously sized infotainment system touchscreen (7 inches) that’s compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The notable differences include side steps and 18-inch wheels.
- Side steps: safely get in and out of your truck with no troubles
- 18-inch wheels: get a firm grip on the road and better traction
Here’s another option if you like the Sport S trim but the previous variations didn’t quite speak to you. The Rubicon trim gives you locking front and rear axles, Fox off-road shock absorbers, an electronic sway bar, black fenders, hood vents, rock rails, Rubicon decals, 17-inch wheels, and 33-inch all-terrain tires. It’s also got a front-facing camera in addition to the rearview one.
- Be off-roading royalty: conquer any terrain with the aid of the off-road shock absorbers, locking axles, and electronic sway bar
- Front-facing camera: get a comprehensive view of the terrain or road you’re driving on for maximum safety
Considering the Mojave trim won multiple awards, this is trim really stands out for those that love the great outdoors. The Jeep Gladiator Mojave specs here are very impressive, of course! Basically, you’ll get everything the Rubicon has. However, instead of a locking front axle, you’ll get a higher riding suspension. And as for the hood decals, they’ll be Mojave instead of Rubicon ones.
- Higher riding suspension: get a smoother ride
- Mojave hood decals: all drivers will know you’re driving an award-winning truck
High Altitude Trim
Take the Sport S trim, add a bunch of luxurious features, and you’ll get the High Altitude trim. This option comes with LED lights, a hardtop, leather seats, and proximity keyless entry. You’ll also get an 8.4-inch touchscreen, HD radio, a navigation system, and 9 speakers, as well as blind spot monitoring and rear parking sensors.
- Leather seats: breathe in that luxurious upholstery and sit in quality material
- Top safety: blind spot monitoring and rear parking sensors will ensure you won’t miss a thing
